The Rural Business Accelerator

You have a good business. Probably a great one, if you weren't so modest.

Your customers know it. Your reputation reflects it. The people who work with you wouldn't go anywhere else.

But you know there's a gap between how good your business actually is and how it looks to someone who doesn't already know you.

After all, marketing isn't something you were taught alongside your professional skills.

Maybe you're trying a few things. Posting on Instagram, sending the odd email, and going to some networking events, but nothing feels joined up. You're not sure which bit is working, which bit isn't, and whether any of it is actually bringing in customers or just keeping you busy.

The Rural Business Accelerator is four months of bespoke 1:1 marketing coaching for service-based businesses with countryside customers, who are ready to go beyond social media basics and build a marketing strategy that works as hard as they do.

My name is Sue Emery, founder of Rural Business Matters

I've spent over 12 years building rural businesses from a veterinary physiotherapy practice to self-catering accommodation. I know that what works in a city – the volume, the noise, the constant content – doesn't work here. Rural customers buy on reputation and trust, and that's exactly what we build.

You already have something most marketers can't manufacture: a genuine place in your community, customers who trust you, and a way of doing business that people remember. What we do together is work out how to let more people see that, in a way that feels like you.

You have unique ideas, real values, and a business worth shouting about. Together, we find ways to show that to the people who haven't found you yet.

Over four months, we work across the parts of your marketing that matter most to your business right now. That might be your email strategy, your lead generation, how you show up on LinkedIn, how you use in-person events, or how you turn the reputation you already have into something people find before they even pick up the phone.

In The Rural Business Accelerator, you spend time intentionally building the genuine, local, human connections that lead to enquiries, sales and recommendations. Real conversations online, leading to real customers for your real-world business.

This looks like:

Intention

Before we do anything else, we get clear on exactly who you're talking to, what you want them to think, feel, and do next. We define your audience, sharpen your message, and set specific goals so that every post, email, and conversation has a real job to do. We'll look at your lead magnets, what's bringing people in, and what needs to change so your marketing is working consistently in the background, even when you're not

Connection

You already know how to build relationships that lead to referrals and inbound leads. Together we bring that online. We'll work on how you start conversations, how you nurture new connections, and how to weave your personality and stories into your content in a way that feels natural. We'll look at LinkedIn, email, and in-person events, finding the rhythm that works for you without it taking over your week. Everything we build is designed to become a habit, something that fits into your working week, rather than something extra on top of it.

Visibility

We start with an honest audit of your current online presence, what's working, what isn't, and where the gaps are. From there we build a consistent posting rhythm that puts sales content first, alongside content that builds trust over time. We'll also look beyond your own channels to collaborations, workshops, guest blogs and podcasting, finding the places where your expertise can reach people who haven't found you yet. By the end of four months you'll have a strategy and a set of systems you can keep running yourself, long after we finish working together.

Here's what’s included

  • TEN 1:1 sessions across four months, each one focused on where you are and what you need next.

  • Bespoke support between sessions via email and WhatsApp. Templates, feedback, and a second pair of eyes on anything you're working on.

  • Draft captions and email copy, written with you, in your voice, so you're never staring at a blank page wondering where to start.

  • Draft pitches and content for collaborations, podcasts or guest opportunities, so you can reach new audiences with confidence.

  • A lead generation system for both online and offline, so you have a clear, repeatable way of bringing the right people to you consistently – not just when you happen to post at the right time.

  • A marketing strategy that you've built, that you understand, and that you can keep running after we finish.

  • Investment: £1250

This is for you if:

You have a business you're proud of and customers who love you, but your marketing hasn't caught up with how good you actually are.

You've been doing bits of marketing here and there and want someone to help you work out what's worth your time.

You want a strategy based on your reputation, built around your community, and delivered in a way that fits your life.

You've been waiting until you feel more ready, or until you have more time. This is the thing that gets you there. You don't need to have it figured out before we start. That's what the four months are for.
